In Europe, you have a couple of them that always do well. You are always trying to prove yourself to get better. You can see here in our league we have six or seven teams fighting for a spot. We are playing at a high level in the NWSL, and playing opponents from other countries. The United States is better than other leagues in other countries because how competitive the NWSL is. Is the game in the United States growing in comparison to the rest of the world? Where does women’s club soccer get the most attention? You cannot sell something – a product – if you do not market it. Then people start coming to the stadium and it shows that women’s soccer is happening. Whenever people know about it, investors come, and then companies want to sponsor. You have some of the great players here and some people do not know that women’s soccer exists. For example, people here in Orlando people need to know that there is the Orlando Pride. People need to understand that women’s soccer is as attractive as men’s soccer to watch. It needs to come as a team, a lot of different points need to happen to make women’s soccer better. What would you do to close the gap? What are the steps that clubs or federations can take to make the game equal for women? It starts with that resistance of soccer not being for women to play. Of course, it is less than it used to be, it used to be way worse. Being compared to men is what creates the gap. Marta: It starts with people being resistant about women playing soccer.
